Research skill in environmental sampling and analysis, environmental management, field work (UK/Europe, N/S Africa,); industrial partnerships/funding – Seureca (waste/resource management); soils and sediment, food-chain assessment; community and NGO engagement, government decision support; interdisciplinary working/project management. evolution of environmental management tools, issues of regulation and sustainability, and in the development of innovative which involves developing innovative multi-scale approaches for assessing vulnerability to climate change for dryland farming systems. Skills in using, spatial databases, ecological surveys, and field-based participatory studies within the broader understanding of how climate change affects food production and rural livelihoods.
