English Tutor teaches Scottish school students of all ages

Hey! I'm Jessica, a Scots Law graduate at the University of Glasgow, currently in the final stages of a postgraduate course. Initially, I was drawn to a career in law through my love of English. From imaginative and persuasive essays, to Shakespeare's plays and poetry, I have thoroughly enjoyed expressing myself through the English language.

As a law student I am constantly using the skills I have built up over the years. Thanks to the wonderful English teachers I had during high school, I was able to discover a subject that I had a true passion for. Therefore, I am looking forward to helping students currently studying English to succeed in one of the best subjects - no bias intended of course!

Outside of my studies, I am a swimming lessons instructor. After having swam competitively for many years, I couldn't wait to pass on all the technique and tips I had learned. This role inspired me to begin tutoring as there is no better feeling than watching someone progress and knowing that you have supported them along the way.

The education system can be difficult to navigate at times as everyone learns differently. Sometimes we need that extra time spent going over a topic that the teacher didn't have time to cover during class. Focusing in on weaker areas can help to build a child's confidence and, more often than not, will lead to a far more enjoyable experience studying the subject.
