English Language + Literature Tutor for GCSE, KS3, Nat 5 and Highers revision

I have graduated with first-class honors from the University of Glasgow after studying Linguistics & Comparative Literature and I have also acquired my MSc in Media, Communications and Journalism.

Tutoring has been in my life for 4 years now, as I have completed more than 1000 lessons on English Language and Literature for high-school students and adults. Through this, I have managed to raise students' grades significantly by utilizing exam-style preparation and effective questioning methods to boost their confidence and knowledge. I have also had experience teaching English in secondary schools around Glasgow during my PGDE.

For English Literature, extract analysis and quote-banks will be used, as I expect students to learn how to use some essential quote from each text in efficient ways - meaning, they should be comfortably used for any question that comes up in the exam. With English Language, I use past papers and teach how to answer each question using an effective paragraph structure to ensure that all relevant points are covered and the marks are therefore maximized.
