In the year 2019, precisely in September, I finally decided to follow my dream and passion in life by resigning from a managerial role in a multinational corporation to pursue my further studies in the United Kingdom. I completed an MSc in finance and accounting at Nottingham Trent University, UK with the sole intention to pursue a Ph.D. in the same field. Throughout my educational career, I have been determined and hardworking with a dream to pursue my educational career to a Ph.D. level.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Master in Business Administration (MBA), and an MSc in Finance & Accounting having finished as one of the top 10 students in-& 2021 respectively. Aside from this, I am a chartered accountant with over 10 years of experience both at the workplace and in the classroom as I also have a strong passion for teaching. These experiences at the workplace put me in a unique position of not just possessing theoretical knowledge, but also grounded in the actual practical which has enabled me to bring into the classroom real-life experiences to my students.
Prior to my MSc program, I worked as a finance specialist with different organizations in different sectors such as manufacturing, Education, FMCG, trading, professional service & education where I have supervised, mentored, and led teams in various finance units from accounts payable to payroll & tax administration & planning, general ledger, credit control, budgeting & forecasting, auditing, internal control, treasury management, warehouse operations, and others with verifiable good track records and accomplishments in each of these companies.
Teaching and imparting knowledge on others have been my hobbies even during my first degree at the university several years ago. I have tutored and prepared over four hundred students for various kinds of examinations such as professional and academic examinations in business, finance & accounting, logic, communication skill, strategic management, management accounting, financial management, micro & macroeconomics, taxation, Project analysis & appraisal, business & operations management, quantitative techniques, management information systems, business mathematics, and entrepreneurship development, among others.
