Friendly, enthusiastic and experienced English tutor

I am a recent graduate with a first-class degree from the University of Oxford (2019-23), where I read English and Russian and received a scholarship for my academic work. Before that, I studied English (D1), Russian (D1), German (D2) and Maths (D1) at Pre-U level and received 10 GCSEs, all at grade 9 or A*. I am now about to begin a master's program studying politics and international relations at UCL.

I have five years experience of tutoring at various levels, from entrance into senior school to preparation for university. My major focus is English tuition, as well as Russian language, although at GCSE level I have successfully tutored students in maths and the sciences. My students have achieved the grades they desired in both GCSEs and A-Levels. I am particularly proud of one pupil who obtained a highly competitive scholarship to Winchester College, and of another student, from Austria, whom I taught English language and literature, resulting in him moving countries and studying in the UK.

During the COVID-19 pandemic I moved my tutoring online out of necessity, and have become adept at using video platforms to provide the same learning experience as in-person sessions. I am a friendly and diligent worker, keen to listen and work with you towards your goals!
