I have a range of teaching experience. Before studying for my degree and subsequent doctorate, I taught for 5 years at two English Language Schools, teaching Beginner and Intermediate level English to children aged 4 to 13 as well as adults. It was during this time that I realised how much I loved teaching. I would create my own resources, which I then adapted to the differing needs and abilities for the pupils in my classes. I have excellent inter-personal skills and believe in a collegiate approach to teaching. I would work very closely with the other members of my department, sharing good practice, resources, and ideas. All lesson observations and feedback commented on my excellent teaching practice and progress made by all students. I am highly organised, efficient and keep excellent records which further allow me to create more individualised teaching materials.
