I am a PhD /Associate Professor from the University of Exeter. My native language is Chinese, and my courses are aimed at those who want to learn Chinese.

Because I can speak English and Japanese, my doctoral degree is in English. So, I am very familiar with the difficulties and methods faced by foreign language learners, especially beginners. So, I will use scientific language learning methods to help you learn systematically rather than fragmented picking up things. My teaching method is as follows： 1. Scientific language learning methods (grammar logic). 2. Immersive teaching: Create a Chinese environment for students to experience and learn Chinese within the language environment. This can be achieved through the use of Chinese textbooks, multimedia resources, role-playing, field trips, and other methods. 3. Communicative approach: Focus on teaching the practical application of Chinese, encourage students to engage in oral communication, and provide various practical opportunities, such as dialogue practice, role-playing, and situational simulations. 4. Task-based teaching: Design specific tasks and projects for students to learn Chinese while completing tasks. These tasks could include shopping, traveling, daily life scenarios, etc., to help students improve their language proficiency. 5. Personalized teaching: Customize teaching content and methods according to students' proficiency levels, learning goals, and learning styles, providing personalized learning support and feedback. 6. Multisensory teaching: Integrate listening, speaking, reading, writing, and other language skills in teaching, stimulate students' senses through various forms such as audio, video, images, etc., to enhance learning effectiveness. 7. Cultural integration: Introduce Chinese culture and social background, enabling students to understand the cultural connotations behind the Chinese language, thereby increasing the interest and depth of learning.
