Advert description
Hi! My name is Cevdet Acu. I completed my Master’s degree in Economic and Social History in 2017, followed by a PhD in Economics at the University of Exeter in 2022. Since 2020, I have been teaching at INTO University of Exeter, delivering courses in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Introduction to Statistics, and Quantitative Methods. I have a genuine passion for Economics and teaching, and I enjoy helping students build their confidence, master difficult concepts, and reach their full academic potential. With experience teaching both introductory and advanced topics, I am well equipped to support students across a wide range of levels and needs.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s ability, learning style, and goals. I understand that every learner is unique, so I take the time to adapt my approach—whether you are aiming to strengthen your understanding of core theories, practise data analysis, or refine your exam technique. Each session has a clear objective and goal, ensuring measurable progress. I use a mixture of approaches, including:
• Breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps
• Exam-focused practice with plenty of past paper questions
• Revision strategies, cheat sheets, and model answers to strengthen learning
• Interactive exercises such as quizzes, mind maps, and problem-solving tasks I believe in active encouragement to boost confidence and motivation.
Mistakes are treated as valuable learning opportunities, and I will always make sure a student feels fully comfortable with one topic before moving on to the next.
