I'm Ethan, a second-year student at the University of Exeter. My aim is helping GCSE/A-Level students improve at English!

As a student who achieved grade 9s in English at GCSE and then an A* in English Language and Literature at A-level, I believe I have a good understanding of how to maximise marks and really tailor student responses to what examiners are looking for. I understand that English is not always seen as the most fascinating subject, but my lessons aim to share my passion with students in a relaxed environment, while helping them understand how they can improve their grades. So often I find students who have the ability to hit those higher grades miss out not due to lack of effort, but a misunderstanding of how their work will be marked, and so I really push the importance of learning easy ways to pick up marks that may have been previously missed. This is a skill which often goes overlooked in a classroom, but with my tailored support to you or your child, it is surprising just how quickly improvements can be made!
