Advert description
I hold a PhD in Psychology from University College London and have over a decade of experience in academic research, teaching, mentoring, and supporting students across a wide range of psychology topics.
My teaching background includes small group tutorials and one-to-one support in cognitive, social, developmental, neuro, and clinical psychology, as well as research methods, statistics, and academic writing. I have worked with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, tailoring my approach to individual learning needs. As a demonstrator at UCL, I designed engaging sessions that encouraged active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving, helping students build confidence in applying psychological concepts.
I believe effective tutoring is about more than delivering subject knowledge. I create an encouraging environment where students feel supported and motivated, and I often use a Socratic approach to prompt critical thinking. My ability to break down complex theories into practical, accessible examples helps students progress at their own pace while achieving their academic goals.
I am confident in delivering engaging online lessons using virtual learning platforms and can adapt my teaching style to different needs and objectives. My aim is always to help students deepen their understanding of psychology, strengthen their academic skills, and build the confidence to excel in their studies.
