I am a native English Speaker, with 3+ year experience in tutoring students

I have a Bachelor's degree in English literature and I am currently undergoing my masters degree in Publishing at Edinburgh Napier University. I am keenly impassioned by languages and find fulfillment in bringing this passion and fun to the classroom. My teaching methods include dissecting syntax down to its bare grammatical constructs, such as verbs, adverbs, nouns and adjectives. I teach through organised themes like these, to neatly demonstrate to students precisely what they're learning and what it is on the page before them. For example, I will highlight the verbs and nouns in different colours and explain precisely what is syntactically happening. I teach by example, always, to ensure that it is getting through to my student. I am very approachable and patient, happy to answer any and every question, whilst also prompting my student to ask questions - keeping them engaged. I always teach by attaching fun, using famous English rhymes and tricks I learned when I was in primary school. I believe that associating learning with fun is the most effective way to teach.
