Advert description
I teach English Law at GCSE and A-Level, as well as Scottish Law at undergraduate level, supporting students at different stages of their legal studies, whether you’re building strong foundations, preparing for exams, or developing confidence in applying the law.
I hold an LLB in Law (Distinction) and am currently completing the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh. I also studied Law at A-Level, giving me a solid understanding of the English school system and exam requirements, alongside in-depth academic training in Scottish law at university level. This allows me to support students across both legal systems with clarity and accuracy.
My lessons are clear, structured, and student-centred, with complex legal concepts broken down step-by-step. I adapt each session to suit your learning style and pace, using practical examples, case law, and exam-focused guidance. I place particular emphasis on exam technique, essay structure, and problem-question analysis, helping students understand not just what the law is, but how to apply it confidently.
I have extensive experience supporting students in educational and community settings, including explaining legal concepts to individuals with no prior legal knowledge. I am patient, approachable, and especially mindful of students who may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or lacking confidence. Lessons are a supportive space where questions are encouraged, and progress is built steadily.
Online lessons are flexible, interactive, and engaging, designed around your individual goals. Whether you need regular weekly support, help with specific topics, or short-term exam preparation, lessons are tailored to meet your needs.
If you are looking for a knowledgeable, supportive tutor who understands both English and Scottish law and the pressures students face, I would be very happy to help.
