1st Class University Graduate with Distinction in Spoken Language for French and Spanish all levels and exam boards

I am a highly organised, approachable tutor with over five years of experience, including two years on this platform. I have tutored GCSE and A Level students from both exam boards, as well as the IB and Scottish National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher. I recently graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in French and Spanish from the University of Edinburgh, including Distinction in Spoken French, and I bring both academic excellence and a strong understanding of how to help students succeed. I will be undertaking the PGDE to achieve QTS in Modern Languages and I have experience in UK schools and in English foreign language camps and colleges.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, and follow a calm, structured format. I begin by identifying areas the student finds challenging, then break these down using visual aids and clear methods. Once we establish consistent strategies, we move on to targeted practice questions, and finally incorporate these into relaxed, exam-style mini-tests to consolidate learning. I also regularly revisit past topics through short quizzes to keep knowledge fresh and build long-term confidence.

I achieved top grades in school-level French, Spanish, English, Geography, Maths, and Psychology, and continue to use my detailed notes, past papers, and reading materials to support my teaching. I’m committed to helping each student build the skills and self-belief they need to achieve their goals and excel in exams.
