English tutor for GCSE students

We contacted Matt to support our son through his GCSE English exam. Our son has great ideas but often struggles with the process of getting these down on paper. Matt was recommended to us by a friend and he was so patient. He had innovative ways of supporting our son’s learning. The lessons were undertaken virtually and Matt was so approachable that our son even started to look forward to the lessons. Before the exam, Matt offered our son an extra session in the morning and talked him through the key things to remember and reminded him of all the things they had covered. My son went in to the exam feeling more confident and I’m thrilled to say that he passed with a level 4 which has allowed him to go on and study at A Level. Thank you Matt.

Matt worked with my dyslexic child, in the run up to GCSEs. Despite my child loathing English and refusing previous tutoring, Matt managed to build a great rapport with him and raised his predicted English Language grade by two, meaning no resit and smooth passage into sixth form and Science A levels.
