I am a private tutor with 2 years of experience and have also worked as a teaching intern at a secondary school. My experiences have fueled my passion for teaching. Moreover, I received an A* in all the subjects I offer tutoring in at both GCSE and A-Level. My teaching approach revolves around two key principles, fundamental and rigorous practice. With a firm grasp of the basics of a topic, complex problems can easily be broken down into simpler parts. Focused practice then serves to ingrain these basics into you so they become second nature. My lessons are tailored to individual students' needs working to strengthen any of their weaknesses as well as teach them about exam technique which is often overlooked.
My overall goal is to instill confidence in my students so that over time they grow to be able to achieve greater things all on their own with less input from me - so they surpass their past selves. To do this, I aim to create a learning space where students feel comfortable asking any question at all; that is one of the best ways to learn and gain confidence at the same time.
