Maths tutor for all stages up to A-Level Further Maths

Durham Maths student and Kings Maths School Class of 2026 alumni. I have grade 9's in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and 3 other subjects as well as 2 grade 8's. I also have A*A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Computer Science (AS level), and EPQ. In my tutoring I emphasis deep-understanding of concepts, and finding a way to visualise the topic or link the topic to the real world. I love doing Maths and I strive for others to love Maths even more.

The first couple of sessions I focus on getting to know each other, goal-setting, and finding out what areas need to be worked on, be it content areas or study practises.
After this initial period each session will follow the structure of answering your questions on content currently being taught in lesson, followed by going through an area we have identified as weak, ending on a recap lead by you (or me).
When starting a weak topic, I'll get you to attempt a question or recall all that you remember of it even if it's not much. Based on this I will fill in the knowledge/understanding gaps using diagrams, Desmos, real-world examples and historical context (if that's your thing), placing an emphasis on understanding the content not memorising as it provides better medium/long-term performance. After this I will ask you a question, to ensure you remember and understand the content.
Each session is typically an hour with a 5-minute break at the middle of the session.
