English Language and Literature GCSE Tutor

Hi, I'm Lucy and I'm currently studying German and Russian at Durham University. I studied English Literature at A Level and received grade 9s in both English Language and Literature at GCSE.

My lessons are primary based on exam question preparation, so I tend to focus on the structuring of essays and longer-mark questions. I use the PEAL structure and collaborate with the student to manipulate text material into the structure. I also like to have discussions with the student on the texts and to encourage them to share their ideas, whilst hopefully enabling them to grow their interest.

I have a year's tutoring experience, with the vast majority of my sessions being for English.
I am the most familiar with the exam boards AQA, OCR and Edexcel. I have also covered all questions of both papers A and B of English Language in great depth.
