My aim is to help you feel confident, prepared and ready to take the next step towards a career in law enforcement or the public sector.
With 25 years of experience as a police detective, I can offer practical insight into policing, the skills employers look for and the importance of professionalism, communication, integrity and decision making. I understand that applying for these roles can feel daunting, particularly when faced with competency-based questions, written assessments, interviews or assessment centres.
Our sessions will be tailored to you and the role you are applying for. We can work through application forms, practise interview questions, develop strong examples using the STAR technique (Situation, Task, Action and Result), and build your confidence in explaining your skills and experience clearly. I will help you understand what questions are asking and how to structure answers that demonstrate your strengths, rather than simply memorising responses.
My approach is friendly, supportive and practical. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at your own pace. I will give you constructive feedback, help you identify areas for improvement and work with you to turn your experiences into compelling answers.
