I have an education degree and have worked in classrooms, privately 1 on 1, and with industry leaders in educational technology.
My specialisation is maths, but I have also tutored English writing, reading, language skills; general science and formula calculations; research skills for several subjects.
I have core experience understanding and supporting the removal of misconceptions in learning. I can identify the blocks that are preventing your learner from progressing to the best of their abilities so that they will no longer need my support.
I'll start by finding out about their strengths and building on them so that the foundations remain strong. If there are any challenges, we will investigate the root of the problem and move forward, together.

Michael is an incredible tutor. All the teachers I’ve ever had in my life, and he is the ONLY one that has ever been able to instill in me any actual memorisation of maths. I’m working on my Nat 5’s with him right now, he is an incredibly understanding teacher and explains each concept succinctly, and in a way that I can comprehend, even if I don’t get it at first. Any other teacher would really just give up after about 5 minutes of that, but he allows me the time I need to actually get a grip on a topic.
