My native language is English. I will improve your conversation in English by going over different topics and subjects

Advert description
As a native speaker who received a good grade in GCSE English, I will improve your conversation by going over many topics and subjects and opening up new vocabulary within a key area. I have a light British accent, and I will correct any incorrect mistakes, and do my best to explain them. I will teach shortcuts that many British people speak with along with write down areas for improvement. If there are any requests for other ways to improve your English, I will help out with that too.

My experience in teaching English to non-native speakers stems from my daily interactions with my Polish girlfriend, who already possesses a solid understanding of the English language. In our conversations, I take on the role of guiding her towards more fluent and natural English expression. This involves not only correcting grammatical mistakes but also encouraging the use of words and phrases in contexts that align with typical English conversations, rather than relying on literal translations.

My teaching abilities have been honed through leadership activities during my time in the Cadets, where I acquired effective planning skills. When working with potential students, I first assess their proficiency in spoken English and evaluate their vocabulary. From there, I craft tailored lesson plans that encompass a wide range of topics. Throughout the lessons, I help students distinguish between words that may appear similar but have different meanings in different contexts. I am always open to addressing any questions about vocabulary or sentence structure, aiming to provide clear and understandable explanations.

Pronunciation is an area where I excel, given my background in a Polish-speaking family, which has equipped me with an understanding of various non-English accents. My teaching philosophy prioritizes the well-being of my students, ensuring they feel engaged and involved in each lesson.

In summary, my teaching approach is student-centered, flexible, and focused on practical language skills. I am committed to helping my students achieve their English language goals and providing a supportive learning environment. If you have any requests in teaching, I am very open to emails and after-session talks!
