WJEC Level 1/2 Hospitality & Catering Tutor | Head of DT | Exam & NEA Specialist

I am a current Head of Design Technology and an experienced teacher of WJEC Level 1/2 Hospitality & Catering, supporting students in both Year 10 and Year 11.

I offer friendly, personalised online tuition for students who want to build their confidence, strengthen their subject knowledge and improve their exam technique.

I can support students with:

• Unit 1 theory and exam preparation
• Exam technique and understanding command words
• Practising and improving extended-answer questions
• Food safety, nutrition, hospitality operations and key course content
• Revision strategies and personalised revision plans
• Understanding the requirements of Unit 2 NEA and developing the knowledge and skills needed to approach it confidently
• Catch-up support for students who have missed lessons or are struggling with particular topics
• Support for students aiming to progress towards the higher Level 2 grades

As a teacher currently delivering the qualification, I understand the areas students commonly find difficult and the difference that clear explanations, regular exam practice and targeted feedback can make.

Every student is different, so sessions are tailored to their individual needs, whether they need help catching up, building confidence or pushing themselves towards a Level 2 Distinction or Distinction*.
