Hello!

I've been a tutor for over two years teaching all sciences, math, and occasionally history, computer science, and Spanish. My main focus is GCSE level, although I'm also qualified to teach A-level Biology and have significant experience teaching pupils under 13 years old.

I've been able to help dozens of students getting ahead of their class and pass their exams, all while having fun lessons. My top priority is to make my students understand their subjects at a fundamental level while making the lesson entertaining and engaging. I achieve this by involving the student as much as possible and using his current understanding of things to build up new concepts. I take an empathetic approach, recognizing my own limitations, discussing them with my pupils when they arise and demonstrating my approach in overcoming them.

I'll explain a bit how our lessons will look like:

I could start by asking what it is that you find the hardest as school, and what you like the most. I would then ask you further about those things to understand and get to know you. With this information, I'd be in a good position to help. Using an online whiteboard, I'll go into detail about something you find puzzling and show my approach to find a solution. Finally, I'll explain the how and why of my approach, so that you can apply my problem solving skills to other academic problems you will find in the future, making you more independent and build self-confidence.
