Advert description
Extremely experienced in supporting young people in all areas including mental health, student support, disability, career aspirations, helping students create study plans including helping deal with issues such as learning difficulties, eg dyslexia/ dyspraxia, ADHD/ASD etc. individualised student plans. In addition to this I have extensive experience as a cover tutor including working with excluded students and mature students too.
My skills and practice as a counsellor, crisis worker, and mental health practitioner, alongside my experience in CAMHS and working with neurodiverse young people, strongly support students’ wellbeing, motivation, and personal development through life coaching. I am passionate about helping students manage academic stress, build confidence, and develop practical skills that support both learning and personal growth.
Through my professional experience, I bring strong listening and communication skills, creating a safe, empathetic, and non-judgemental space where students feel heard and understood. I support young people in setting realistic, meaningful goals and guide them to break these into manageable steps, building focus, organisation, and a sense of achievement.
My background in mental health and neurodiversity allows me to tailor coaching approaches to individual needs, helping students develop effective study habits, time management strategies, and a positive mindset. I encourage motivation and self-confidence by recognising strengths, fostering resilience, and empowering students to take ownership of their progress. Overall, my approach supports not only academic success, but long-term wellbeing and personal growth.
