Advert description
I hold a master’s degree in biological sciences and have strong subject knowledge in both science and mathematics. I’m currently completing my PGCE, and I’ve gained hands-on experience teaching students of various abilities, including those with additional needs such as dyslexia and English as an Additional Language (EAL). I’m skilled in adaptive teaching, formative assessment, and creating engaging, supportive learning environments.
My teaching style is interactive, visual, and student-centred. I use online whiteboards and platforms like Desmos to explore mathematical concepts dynamically, and I incorporate science simulations and visual demonstrations to bring abstract ideas to life. I start each lesson with a quick recap to assess prior knowledge, then deliver clear, step-by-step instruction followed by guided practice and independent problem-solving. Throughout, I encourage students to think aloud, ask questions, and engage actively with the material.
Each session is tailored to the learner’s pace and needs, with regular feedback and encouragement to help them grow in confidence and understanding.
