Advert description
I have experience tutoring secondary school students with SEN within the school I was at sixth form in. They asked me to do it within the SEN Department. I love helping concepts that seem complex at first be broken down into understandable chunks for students to grasp. My lessons are structured, supportive, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on building both confidence and understanding — helping students develop a solid grasp of mathematical concepts rather than just memorising methods.
Each session typically starts with a quick recap to check understanding, followed by clear, step-by-step explanations, worked examples, and guided practice. I encourage questions and discussion throughout, as I believe learning works best when it’s interactive and engaging.
I specialise in Maths and Further Maths, having studied both at A Level before completing a Mechanical Engineering degree that involved a wide range of advanced maths modules such as calculus, mechanics, and data analysis. My background allows me to link mathematical theory to real-world applications, making the subject more relevant and interesting.
I also have experience tutoring children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and I take care to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace, attention span, and preferred way of processing information. I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where every student feels supported and capable of achieving progress.
Whether you’re aiming to boost your confidence, prepare for exams, or fill gaps in understanding, my lessons are designed to make maths accessible, rewarding, and enjoyable.
I am a working professional working as a Full Stack Engineer for one of the worlds largest banks. I have had to undergo a criminal record check to get this role.
