Native English Speaker seeking an ESL online tutor position

I have a TEFL qualification and an undergraduate degree. I also have voluntary experience of teaching English in South America, in a school in Barranquilla, Colombia. In the UK I have taught English to adults on a freelance basis. I also partake in online conversation exchanges with native Spanish and French speakers.

Currently I host learners of English at my home as part of language immersion holidays in the UK.

My motivation for applying for this position stems from a keen interest that I have in linguistics. I have always been interested in the use and structure of the English language. At college, I opted to study English Language and English Literature A’levels.

Currently, I am teaching myself Spanish and French and I have found the knowledge of both languages, helpful to teach native Spanish and French speakers to learn English.

As a learner of foreign languages, I understand how challenging it can be for students to learn English.

I am a patient person; I enjoy imparting my knowledge and experience to assist students to learn and consolidate their understanding and improve their English fluency. Overall, I am a keen and motivated English teacher and I am dedicated to helping learners of English to achieve their language goals.
