Paul taught me recorder, clarinet, and choral singing between the ages of 7 and 13, and I began learning each of these instruments with him. During his teaching, I achieved merits or distinctions in ABRSM exams, and later went on to reach Grade 8 in clarinet. Paul is highly skilled at these instruments and also encouraged me to perform, both in groups and with piano accompaniment.
I feel very fortunate to have had Paul as a teacher. His care for both music and his pupils is evident in his teaching style. He quickly notices when something isn’t quite right and explains things patiently and clearly. I would happily recommend him to anyone starting (or looking to progress in) their musical journey, especially children.
