A Passionate, Understanding and Motivational Tutor

Hi I'm Jemmila! I'm a 2:1 LLB University of East Anglia graduate who is ready to help you develop a passion for English as a subject and confidently ace all of your exams!

At GCSE, I achieved a 9 in English Language and Literature AQA, as well as an A in English Literature A Level Edexcel with 60/60 in the non-examination assessment. With years of experience in peer mentoring from my past, I prioritize a meticulous overview of texts and the processes of structuring an essay with critical analysis implemented. As a tutor, l believe there are never any silly questions and that achieving the highest band of marks in English is possible for anyone with the passion and drive.

As said by Tennessee Williams,
"For a
creative person there's just as much pleasure in writing an eight-line poem as there is in writing a blockbuster play..." My goal as a tutor is to encourage your child, instilling a fascination for the beauty of English as a language that extends beyond the classroom and examination hall. I aim to work collaboratively to formulate a comprehensive plan that suits their individual needs, as well as checking in weekly to mark any progress. My work does not stop after our scheduled time, I will happily assist if your child has any questions and read their work to prepare for the next lesson at no extra fees. Regardless of the learning style of your child, or the areas in which they need support, each of my lessons will be interactive and engaging but equally as valuable in improving their skills and confidence.
