GCSE Maths and Physics tutor, and beginner-intermediate piano teacher

Hi! I'm Ren, and I am a second year student studying Earth and Planetary Science at Imperial College London. In other words, I study Earth's geology and apply it to other planets in space!

My course needs me to know a lot about maths and science. I have also grown up playing the piano since I was six years old, so I know a lot about music performance and theory too - I passed my piano Grade 8 exam in summer of 2022. Because of this, I am happy to tutor GCSE level maths, physics and geology, as well as GCSE music and intermediate music theory.

I will try to be as clear as I can to speed learning up as much as possible. However, I don't mind spending a bit longer on things that are more tricky to make sure you totally get it. It doesn't feel that long since I was at school myself, so I know how hard studying can be (especially for things like maths!). Although it might feel boring sometimes, learning shouldn't be a chore. Therefore, I will try and make my teaching as fun and engaging as possible :)

I have had some tutoring experience while I was in secondary school, helping younger year groups complete their homework in maths workshops during lunch and after school sessions. I have also had experience teaching piano to a number of my peers, usually teaching songs if the pupil's choosing to make sessions as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. I am always eager to gain more teaching experience, and I guarantee to give every session my utmost attention.
