Advert description
I am a First-Class undergraduate student at UCL (BA History, Politics & Economics) with a consistently strong academic record, having achieved straight A*s at IGCSE, all As at AS Level, and high A-level grades, including a 93 in Economics. This academic discipline has carried through to university, where I have maintained a First-Class overall average.
I have substantial teaching experience across diverse settings. I have worked with underprivileged and disabled students, as well as in formal school environments, including at Beyond 8, where I supported students across different curricula and learning needs. These experiences have shaped my ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt to individual students, and teach with empathy and structure.
I place strong emphasis on tailoring lessons to each student’s needs, learning style, and academic goals. My teaching approach combines clear conceptual foundations with real-world applications, particularly in economics and finance, to help students develop genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation. I also prioritise structured revision, regular consolidation, and exam-focused practice to ensure students feel confident applying concepts under assessment conditions.
My passion for learning and strong work ethic underpin both my academic and teaching journey. I am particularly interested in Economics and History, and I enjoy connecting theoretical ideas to real-world contexts, especially within finance, supported by my industry experience.
Outside academics, I am deeply interested in fitness and trekking, and I love exploring new food spots and cooking. Food, to me, is as much a hobby as learning. I aim to make learning both rigorous and enjoyable for students.
