Advert description
I am a Certified Cambridge Speaking Examiner for the Young Learners, Key & Preliminary exams formally known as the KET and PET exams. I am a fully trained Teacher Trainer and I am fully fluent in English (Native Level) with a clear accent. I have a Masters as well as a Bachelors Degree from Monash University Australia. I have a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certificate from the International Studies Teacher Training Center (ISTESOL). I have been trained by the, Berlitz Corporation School of Languages in the LAN Instructor Qualification Program (IQP). I have also received certification from the Turkish Education Association (TED) as an English language teacher. I am experienced in preparing students for international language certificates (University of Cambridge – YLE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, and IELTS). In Addition to this I have prior International Baccalaureate, (IB) training and experience.
I have extensive knowledge of the Cambridge International Exam system both as a student and as a teacher. During my secondary education, my school followed the Cambridge International Curriculum. This helped me gain Cambridge International Qualifications as I sat for and passed the IGSCE, AS and A2 Cambridge examinations.
I have taught English as a second Language to students from all over the world. I have helped students of various age groups from Malaysia, Thailand, Ecuador, Turkey, Taiwan, Chile and Korea to achieve their desired goals using the English Language. I would describe my teaching style as highly adaptable and student centered. I am more of a coach and help guide my students to an answer as opposed to just spoon-feeding them information or reading from slides. I do not really prefer one teaching method, or one way of interacting with the students. In my opinion, each class is different, so is each lesson, and a good teacher should always adjust their teaching to their audience, the level of discipline in the class, the difficulty of the lesson, and so on. I alternate between being an authority, demonstrator, facilitator, and delegator. So far, it has been working great, so I have no reason to doubt the effectiveness of my teaching style.
