Advert description
I am a PhD-qualified Mathematics educator with more than 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience across Canada, the United Kingdom, and India. I have taught students at school, college, and university levels, including GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate, and advanced mathematics. I also hold an MEd in Education Studies with a specialization in Leadership and recently completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mathematics at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
My teaching approach is highly personalized because every student learns differently. I begin by understanding the student’s current level, strengths, learning gaps, and academic goals. I then adapt my explanations, examples, and problem-solving methods to make mathematics easier to understand and more meaningful.
I enjoy breaking complex mathematical concepts into clear and manageable steps. Rather than encouraging students to simply memorize formulas, I help them understand the reasoning behind each method and develop the confidence to solve problems independently. I also provide different approaches to the same question when needed so that students can discover the method that works best for them.
I particularly enjoy supporting students who feel anxious about mathematics, have lost confidence, or need additional help to strengthen their foundations. My lessons provide a patient, supportive, and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
I can help with regular coursework, homework support, exam preparation, revision, strengthening weak areas, problem-solving techniques, and advanced mathematics. My aim goes beyond improving grades. I want students to develop confidence, logical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and skills that will support their future studies.
If you are looking for a patient, experienced, and highly qualified Mathematics tutor who will understand your individual learning needs and help you progress step by step, I would be delighted to support you on your learning journey.
