English as a Foreign Language Tutor (Online)

I am a German national (i.e. a native speaker of German) with two first-class university degrees in English Linguistics and English & German (Bachelor of Education) and three years of teaching experience from primary to university level. Currently, I am doing my teacher training to become a qualified English teacher in the UK.

In the course of my studies, I have become an expert in teaching languages and grammar in particular. Having lived in London since 2020, I have further been immersed in Britain’s cultural-linguistic environment for two years, which enables me to help my students improve their communicative skills at the same time. Being a native speaker of German, the same holds true for German.

From my teaching roles at university (Junior Lecturer in English Linguistics) and across a number of secondary schools in both Germany and the UK, I have developed an engaging, interactive teaching style suited to varying age and ability groups. This enables me to tailor lessons to my students’ individual language level (A2-C2) and learning style to reach their personal goals in all four language skills (speaking, writing, listening or reading); whether it is working towards a specific qualification or improving your language skills just for the fun of it.
