Hello! I'm Jason - a qualified (CertTESOL), native English language teacher from the UK. I am a relaxed and friendly teacher and I'm dedicated to helping students set and achieve their linguistic, academic, professional and personal goals and objectives. I teach all aspects of English, but I particularly enjoy academic, professional and conversational English.

Before I began teaching English, I gained qualifications in law at multiple British universities, including the University of Oxford. I often draw upon this experience to help students with English for Academic Purposes (EAP), including:

* essay and report writing
* university applications
* personal statements and job applications
* presentational skills
* understanding legal or business English
* exam preparation
* tips on the British academic system and culture

In addition to academic English I also really enjoy helping students to improve their conversational skills. My interests are varied and I always enjoy learning about something new.

* Do you want to know about British culture or life in the UK? Having lived, worked and studied in six different British cities, I can answer all your questions.

* Do you love animals and nature? I'm passionate about animals and I have two loveable dogs; in my spare time I enjoy taking them out and about.

* Do you play a musical instrument? Me too. I play the guitar and I used to play the piano too. I'm into a wide variety of music and enjoying discussing this with students.

* Are you into cars or DIY? I enjoy learning how to fix and maintain my cars and I'm always busy updating my home. Perhaps we can swap tips.

* Do you have strong political views or things you care about? I'm fascinated by law and history and I'm always happy to ‘put the world to rights’ and I often prepare materials based upon recent news articles and stories.
