I am a specialist Drama and Theatre Head of Department with over eight years’ experience in secondary education. I hold a BA (Hons) degree in Drama, Applied Theatre and Education from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and a PGCE from Goldsmiths, University of London.
My teaching practice combines strong academic rigour with creative exploration. I have extensive experience preparing students for GCSE and A Level Drama across current exam boards, supporting them with written coursework, live theatre evaluation, devising, scripted performance, and portfolio development. I bring up-to-date knowledge of assessment criteria, texts and examiner expectations, helping students to feel confident, organised, and clear about how to achieve top grades.
Whether a student is aiming for exam success, audition preparation, or simply building confidence in performance and written analysis, I tailor sessions to meet their goals — combining written structures, discussion, confidence building and regular marking & feedback. I aim to create reflective, supportive learning environments where students feel empowered to take creative risks and develop their individual voice.
