I am an experienced Spanish teacher with over 12 years experience in independent schools and online tutoring (KS£, GCSE & A Level)

Following a successful twelve year career in professional services in London, I changed direction and became a qualified secondary teacher in Spanish (and French) and have since been teaching Spanish at all levels, including GCSE, A Level and IB.

I was born in Spain and grew up in various parts of the country having been educated there until the age of 10, a which point I went to boarding school in the UK, so my passion spreads far beyond the language elements to include all manner of social and cultural interests. My Spanish accent is central Castillian (not Andalucian).

As a fluent Spanish speaker with a BA (Hons) in French and Spanish and a PGCE in Modern Languages, I have consistently enabled students to develop both linguistic competence and cultural understanding. At St Edward’s, Oxford, I have taught Spanish from KS3 through to IB Higher Level, ensuring that lessons are engaging, rigorous and tailored to exam success.

I am happy for lessons to take on a casual and informal format lead by the tutee, or indeed happy to apply a purely academic rigour based on the specific requirement of examination, be that at a younger age or at a higher level. I am a specialist at teaching Almodóvar's "Volver" for those studying the film at A Level in the UK.

I am a keen sportsman (particularly rugby) and enjoy the casual distractions in life such as eating out, a fine glass of wine and catching up with old friends and new.
