Experienced English GCSE and A Level English tutor

I am a warm, approachable and supportive teacher who seeks to bring out the best of in all my students. Teaching is my passion and there is nothing more satisfying than watching a student make progress.

I am an experienced GCSE English Language examiner and have over fourteen years of English teaching experience including six years as Head of English and four years as a senior leader. I have a wealth of experience and strategies to ensure students achieve outstanding results and make rapid progress.
My particular area of expertise is within the teaching of GCSE English Literature, GCSE English Language and A Level English Language.

My teaching approach engages with metacognitive processes to develop a student’s deeper understanding or concepts and processes as well as develop their confidence with the subject matter. I pride myself in responsive teaching that adapts to the needs of the individual and supports students who are struggling or anxious.
