Hi, I’m Umar, a second-year Engineering undergraduate at the University of Cambridge (Sidney Sussex College) and a student ambassador. My academic journey has been driven by a deep fascination with how things work, which helped me achieve five A*s at A-Level, ranking first in my cohort for Physics, alongside twelve Grade 9s at GCSE.

Having recently navigated these exact syllabuses myself, I am intimately familiar with common pitfalls, exam board quirks, and the specific pressures students face. I structure my sessions around the principles of active recall (using past paper questions and targeted flashcards) and spaced repetition rather than passive reading to embed concepts in long-term memory. While mastering exam technique is paramount, I also focus on building an intuitive understanding of the topics wherever it helps to give students the problem-solving skills needed to tackle the hardest questions efficiently.
