Experienced Mathematics Teacher (15 years) including A-Level Maths and Further Maths

Having completed a Pure Mathematics Degree and my PGCE, I have taught in Secondary Schools in Cumbria for 15 years and worked as a private Mathematics tutor for 14 years alongside my teaching career. I have taught pupils aged 8-21, including GCSE and A-Level Maths, and A-Level Further Maths. I have experience working with all of the major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR and MEI).

I focus on making my tutoring sessions as personalised as possible for my students, focussing on their individual areas of weakness, working on their confidence, and progressing at their required pace.

For online sessions, I make use of my iPad and screen sharing to allow my students to see exactly what I am writing, which is much more effective than purely verbal interactions when dealing with Mathematics.
