Experienced GCSE maths tutor studying engineering

In my lessons, I focus on building a clear understanding of the GCSE Maths specification from start to finish, making sure every topic is thoroughly covered. I tailor my approach to each student’s needs, whether that means breaking concepts down into simple steps, providing extra practice, or stretching students with challenging questions.
I have experience tutoring three students at different levels — two at Foundation GCSE (including one with learning disabilities) and one at Higher GCSE. This has taught me how to adapt my teaching style to suit different abilities and learning preferences.
Typically, lessons involve revisiting topics from the specification, working through examples together, and then giving students opportunities to try questions independently with my support. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique and confidence building, helping students approach questions methodically and avoid common mistakes.
As a Mechanical Engineering student with strong A Level results, I bring both subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Maths. My goal is to make lessons supportive, structured, and engaging, while ensuring students feel fully prepared for their exams.
