PGCE secondary tutor teaching all science and computing subjects (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Python, C Programming)

I am a friendly, patient and approachable STEM educator with a Master’s degree in VLSI Design and professional experience in both the semiconductor industry and higher education. I have worked as a semiconductor engineer and as a university lecturer, where I have taught students from different academic backgrounds and supported them in developing their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
I particularly enjoy helping students understand concepts that may initially seem difficult or intimidating. My approach is to break topics down into clear, manageable steps and use practical, real-world examples wherever possible. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind a concept rather than simply memorising information.
I can support students with Physics, Mathematics, STEM subjects, Electronics, Digital Electronics, Programming and Engineering fundamentals. I also have experience teaching C, Python and Java, and can support students who are developing their programming and computational thinking skills.
My engineering experience gives me a practical perspective on STEM subjects. I enjoy showing students how the concepts they learn in the classroom connect to technologies and applications they encounter in everyday life and the wider world.
Every student is different, so I aim to adapt my teaching style to their individual needs, confidence and level of understanding. I am currently developing my teaching practice in the UK and am passionate about continuing to grow as an educator. I value feedback and reflection and aim to make every session purposeful, engaging and relevant to the learner.
My goal is simple: to help students understand, apply and enjoy what they learn, while developing the confidence to solve problems independently.
