I have found the following books very helpful to me in my teaching and to the students: "Teach english as a foreign language by David Riddell, Essential grammar in use for elementary learners of english by Raymond Murphy and Essential grammar in use for intermediated learners of english also by Raymond Murphy, both books published by Cambridge University Press. The Compact English dictionary is of course indispensable.
