I would describe myself as accommodating, sociable and proficient. I would ideally like to tutor sixth form students doing maths.

I am studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Bristol and am in my first year. I achieved: A* maths, A* history, A as further maths, A EPQ, and C in music at A levels. I have tutored privately from the beginning of yr 13 (September 2022) to the end of 2023. I usually start off with a practice sheet of 5 questions of increasing difficulty of the previous sessions topic, then after aiding them if needed, continue on to the topic they feel they need the most help with ie, a newly introduced topic or one they simply find difficulty with. And depending on what the student finds the most helpful (doing practice problems or having the methods meticulously analysed) continue with this. I ask that they inform me what topic they require help with beforehand so I can create a problem sheet to go through either at the end of the session or left as a homework if there isn’t enough time. Obviously each student has different optimal ways to learn and so I try to go by a case by case basis however, this is a generalised approach of mine.
