Russian tutor providing lessons to young adults and adults

I’m a native Russian speaker, originally from Moscow, and I’ve spent the last decade working across education, journalism, and research in four countries — so switching between languages and adapting to different audiences is second nature to me.

I currently work as a university lecturer in Newcastle, where I teach, mentor students one-to-one, and design course materials from scratch. Before academia, I worked as a journalist in Moscow for both English- and Russian-language outlets, and interpreted at international education fairs. I know from experience that the key to good language teaching is meeting people where they are — whether that’s conversation practice, grammar foundations, or exam preparation — and making the process genuinely enjoyable.
