First-year PhD at the Uni of Cambridge, funded by AstraZeneca, specializing in Applied Maths and AI. My previous experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at Meta and my tenure as a visiting grad student at MIT has endowed me with a unique blend of industry insight and academic rigor, which I am eager to pass on to my students.

I am particularly adept at preparing students for the high demands of top university admissions, equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to excel in these competitive environments.

Previous Exp:
Over the past 7 years, I have tutored over 50 students from GCSE to University Levels across maths, physics, and CS. I celebrate a track record of success stories, with many students achieving remarkable grade improvements, some ascending from C/D to A/A* levels under my mentorship. At MIT, as a Teaching Assistant for 6.S088, I honed my ability to tailor teaching methods and explanations to individual learning styles and previous expertise, which has proven invaluable in delivering personalized education and achieving tangible academic advancements for my students.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is highly personalized, with a thorough initial assessment to establish a student’s strengths and weaknesses. This enables me to tailor my instruction to each individual's needs, ensuring effective learning and a genuine understanding of the subject matter. I shift away from rote learning, guiding students to correct answers through strategic questioning that promotes active learning and comprehension.

I combine techniques to simplify complex maths concepts and provide visual representations to reinforce understanding. By focusing on challenging exam questions early on, my students become accustomed to the rigor required to excel in their exams, and I also equip them with efficient methods to optimize their performance under time constraints. Additionally, I encourage students to teach back the material, enhancing their retention and communication skills.

My commitment is to foster a constructive working relationship with each student, supporting them patiently and providing practical, engaging examples that bring Maths, Physics, and CS to life. By doing so, I prepare students not only to excel academically but also to think critically and solve problems effectively, skills imperative for success at top universities and beyond.
