Experienced maths tutor, from KS3 to Higher GCSE mathematics

I tutor online at the moment. Use platforms such as Pencil Spaces and Google Meet/classroom for sharing the screen with interactive working. I like the work with the student to gain confidence to tackle questions, hints and tips for approaching wordy maths questions, exam techniques and working on topics to boost working knowledge. I work on filling in gaps in knowledge, expanding on maths concepts and using skills to get better grades.

I have taught maths since 2010 and have a comprehensive experience of working one to one with students, to find their weaker areas - to target that area - and help them improve and maybe even enjoy maths as I do.

I can also work alongside what is being taught at school, so if a student is doing Algebra, I can make my lessons the same, so that they can go over what they've learnt in school, help with homework or revising for tests/exams.

I try to give confidence to students in their abilities, I don't do lecture style, so most lessons are active 'doing' and getting stuck into working with formulas, equations and BODMAS, etc. I am happy to go over things during a lesson, even if we've gone over it a few times - as long as the student understands and 'gets it.'
