Advert description
I am a neuroscience researcher with an MSc and several years of hands-on laboratory experience, currently working as a Research Assistant at the UK Dementia Research Institute in London. Alongside my research career, I am passionate about science communication and helping students build genuine confidence in the subjects I work with every day.
I currently tutor online for GetPsyched, an Australian platform, which has given me solid experience delivering remote sessions across time zones and adapting scientific content to suit students at different levels.
I offer tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, and related sciences from GCSE through to undergraduate level. My particular strengths lie in cell biology, molecular biology, and neuroscience, though I am well-equipped to support students across the broader life sciences curriculum. Having recently completed postgraduate study myself, I understand the pressures students face at every stage, whether that is navigating A-Level exams or getting to grips with first-year university content for the first time.
My approach is to meet students where they are. I focus on building solid conceptual foundations rather than rote memorisation, and I adapt my explanations to suit how each individual learns best. I find that students engage most when they can see how the science connects to something real, whether that is a news story, a clinical application, or something from my own lab experience.
I am available for online sessions, and I am happy to work flexibly around students' schedules. I look forward to supporting learners in reaching their potential in science.
