Advert description
About Me
I am a PhD-qualified science tutor with a passion for making complex ideas genuinely click. Whether you're working through A-level Biology, tackling a university module in Health Psychology, or preparing for postgraduate research, I'm here to help you build real understanding, not just pass an exam.
What I Teach
My expertise covers human physiology, microbiology, health psychology, consumer and social psychology, and public health and epidemiology. I support students from GCSE through to undergraduate and postgraduate levels across biology, psychology, health sciences, and related subjects.
My Background
I hold a PhD in Public Health and also worked as a Teaching Assistant, delivering modules on Research Appraisal, Epidemiological Methods, and Public Health Policy to undergraduate and master's students. I coached students on research projects, graded presentations, and adapted my teaching to suit different learning styles.
Beyond academia, I spent over four years as an Innovation Consultant translating complex scientific evidence into clear, compelling insights for professionals in consumer health and pharmaceuticals. I have contributed to NICE clinical guidelines on antenatal and epilepsy care through systematic review work. I bring more than textbook knowledge to my sessions; I bring real-world scientific thinking.
How I Tutor
I take time to understand where each student is starting from, identify any gaps, and work through material in a way that makes sense to them. Sessions are collaborative, structured, and always focused on your goals. I am fully remote, flexible, and experienced at working reliably around students' schedules.
My aim is simple: I want students to leave each session not just knowing the answer, but understanding why, and feeling equipped to tackle the next challenge independently.
