I take a student-centered approach in my teaching, beginning with introductions to create a comfortable environment where students feel valued. I focus on getting to know each student personally, which helps me effectively introduce new topics. By asking open-ended questions, I assess their current understanding and learning levels, enabling me to tailor my approach accordingly. After this initial assessment, I conduct a more formal evaluation to identify specific areas where support is needed. This allows me to create a personalised support plan that not only aims for academic progress but also encourages the development of essential life skills. Currently, I teach reception-aged children, where I have honed my ability to nurture young learners and respond to their diverse needs. Through my experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), I have learned strategies to foster an inclusive environment that promotes growth for all students. I celebrate their achievements, no matter how small, which helps boost their confidence and motivation. My passion for teaching drives me to dedicate myself fully to my students' success.
