Advert description
Teaching is not just a career for me, it is a calling. I am deeply motivated by the opportunity to shape young minds, foster curiosity, and help students discover their potential through science. The classroom is a dynamic environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities, and I am inspired by the idea of making a lasting, positive impact on learners' lives. I want to be a teacher because I believe education can transform lives, just as it did mine. Physics, in particular, is a subject that captures the wonder of the natural world. It explains everything from how light travels to the structure of the universe. I want to teach physics because it encourages students to question, analyse, and think logically. In a world increasingly shaped by science and technology, physics provides students with the tools to understand their environment and solve real-world problems. I enjoy breaking down complex ideas into simpler concepts that spark understanding and interest, and I aim to make physics not only accessible, but exciting for all learners. I am aware of this through the improvement in results of my pupils from assessment. My background in teaching science, especially physics, spans over nine years. I taught Year 7 to Year 11 for eight years and Sixth Form for one year in Cameroon. The Cameroonian curriculum offers science as three distinct subjects (physics, chemistry, and biology) from Year 7, just like a triple science in the UK curriculum which has given me a strong subject knowledge base and the ability to teach these disciplines with confidence.
